Dr. Tara Bell
Dr. Bell grew up in Minnesota and is happy to now call Cary home. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 1998. While at Notre Dame, she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society and is currently an active member. She then completed her dental training at Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2002, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Bell is committed to providing the latest advances in dental technology to her patients, and has completed courses at the Pankey Institute and the Las Vegas Institute. She is currently an active member in the regional chapter of the Seattle Study Club. This invitation-only organization focuses on team treatment planning and improving dental knowledge to achieve ideal and comprehensive patient care. In addition to serving her patients, she is also a volunteer dentist at the Samaritan Health Center, which provides dental care to homeless women >and children. Away from the dental office, she enjoys running, tennis, and golf.
Holly grew up in Goldsboro, North Carolina and now lives in Apex with her husband, 2 sons, and her vizsla dog Tucker. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1997 with a BA in Communications. She spent the next 6 years as a flight attendant for United Airlines, serving both North American and International routes, and was based in Chicago, IL and then in Washington, DC. Holly went back to school in 2003, and earned her AAS in Dental Hygiene from Wake Technical Community College. She graduated at the top of her class and was active in College Government as the Health Sciences Campus Senator and served as Vice President of the Student Dental Hygiene Association. She received awards from the ADA Foundation and the NC Dental Hygiene Academy of Advanced Studies. Holly served a 6 year term as alumni member of the Wake Tech Dental Hygiene Advisory Committee. When not at work, Holly enjoys trips to Emerald Isle and cheering for the Tar Heels. She volunteers at the Mabopane Foundation and is on the Apex CERT team.
“I absolutely love working here. The patients are great and the office is simply gorgeous– what a treat to be a part of this family!” Holly prides herself in thorough dental cleanings and assessments, and will offer suggestions and recommendations of her findings. The hygiene rooms are equipped with massaging patient chairs, cable TV, and digital radiographs.
Shianne grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina and now lives in Durham. She graduated from Oakwood University in Alabama in 2013 with a BS in Biology. Later, she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated in 2016 with a BS in Dental Hygiene. She served as Vice President of her dental hygiene class and was a member of the Singulums, the dental school’s a cappella singing group. She graduated with honors, and was inducted into the Sigma Phi Alpha National Dental Hygiene Honors Society. Shianne is very active with her church,and she enjoys singing for the residents at Woodland Terrace. She also enjoys photography, reading, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Claudia grew up in Strasburg, Ohio and later in Greensboro, North Carolina. She attended the Dental Assisting program at Guilford Technical Community College and graduated in 2000. Claudia has had additional training with the Nash Institute and Levin Group where she was educated by top dental professionals. She graduated in 2014, completing her Fellowship in Dental Office Management from AADOM, making her 1 of 6 dental managers in North Carolina to have completed her fellowship. She was nominated as Office Manager of the Year in 2014. This made her one of the top 30 Dental Office Managers in the nation. She is a board member of the AADOM Triangle Area Chapter and was nominated Treasurer. In her spare time Claudia loves to spend time with her husband and family, and enjoys taking long walks with her dog Elle in local area parks. Cooking and listening to music are her favorite past times. Claudia’s dedication to providing office and team support, as well as high quality customer care, have had a strong influence in our office and continues to make our dental team strive for excellence.
Adrian grew up in Cary and has been a patient at Bell Family Dentistry since 2008. In 2016, Adrian graduated with honors from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences with a Human Biology concentration. Throughout his undergraduate career, Adrian enjoyed learning all aspects of dentistry, as well as giving back to the community through volunteering with the school’s pre-dental society. Following graduation, he continues to prepare for a future career in dentistry as he tutors children in grades K-5, and he volunteers with local free dental clinics of North Carolina. Adrian aims to provide patients with the quality of care that had initially drawn him to the field. Outside of the office, Adrian enjoys drawing portraits, exercising at the gym, and going on long walks with his puppy Vivo.
Ashley joined Bell Family Dentistry in March 2017. She grew up in Louisburg, a quaint town in the northeastern part of North Carolina. She now resides in Durham with her cat Layne. Her interest in dental hygiene began back in a high school health class. The more she learned about the field, the more she became convinced it was perfect for her. She enrolled in the Dental Hygiene Program at Halifax Community College and graduated in 2012 with honors as a member of the Dean’s List.
Ashley is experienced in treating a variety of patients, from children to seniors to patients with special needs. She prides herself in getting to know each patient and creating a soothing experience for them. She is working on becoming proficient in Spanish and spends her free time as a volunteer minister serving the Spanish-speaking community. In addition, she enjoys art, cleaning, dancing, traveling, and helping people.
Katie grew up in the small town of Coats, North Carolina, where she currently resides. After graduating from high school, she spent 18 months in the village of Shayandima in South Africa, volunteering as a teacher’s assistant in a rural school. Seeing poor health conditions and poverty, Katie desired to pursue a career where she could help people maintain proper hygiene and prevent health problems.
She enrolled in NC Dental U for their dental assisting program and completed the course in the summer of 2017. Katie joined the Bell Family Dentistry team in August 2017, and she plans to continue her education to earn her DAII certification. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, working as a volunteer at her church with teenagers, and hiking at local state parks.
